Upper Instrument Panel: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 1 heater to register duct.

  2. REMOVE NO. 4 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT 
    1. Remove the 2 screws and No. 4 heater to register duct.

  3. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and the defroster nozzle assembly.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Detach the 4 claws, then remove the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedures for the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly and No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.

  6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the front passenger airbag (see REMOVAL ).
  7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION 
  8. REMOVE NO. 2 FRONT PANEL SIDE SILENCER
