Current Codes Using Consult Tester

- Connect CONSULT tester to Data Link Connector (DLC), located below fuse block under left side of instrument panel. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition on. Touch START on CONSULT tester. Touch AIR BAG. Touch SELF-DIAG (CURRENT).
- If any problems are present, message will be displayed in SELF-DIAG (CURRENT) mode. Compare displayed codes to present fault messages. See PRESENT FAULT MESSAGES . Touch PRINT. Touch BACK until SELECT SYSTEM appears to return to USER mode. Turn ignition off. Turn off CONSULT tester. Disconnect CONSULT tester from DLC. Disconnect both battery cables. After repair is completed, codes must be cleared. See CLEARING CODES .
