Diagnostic Procedure For Optical Sensor

SYMPTOM: Optical sensor circuit is open or shorted. (50 or 52 is indicated on front air control display as a result of conducting self-diagnosis).
- CHECK CIRCUIT CONTINUITY BETWEEN OPTICAL SENSOR AND FRONT AIR CONTROL
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect front air control connector and optical sensor connector.
- Check continuity between optical sensor harness connector M145 (B) terminal 1 and 2 and front air control harness connector M50 (A) terminal 37 and 29.CONTINUITY REFERENCE CHART

OK or NG
OK: GO TO 2.
NG: Repair harness or connector.
- CHECK CIRCUIT CONTINUITY BETWEEN OPTICAL SENSOR AND BCM
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect BCM connector and optical sensor connector.
- Check continuity between optical sensor harness connector M145 (B) terminal 3 and BCM harness connector M18 (A) terminal 18.CONTINUITY REFERENCE CHART

OK or NG
OK: Replace optical sensor. Refer to "OPTICAL SENSOR ".
NG: Repair harness or connector.
