Check Door Switch/With Navigation System

First perform SELF-DIAG RESULTS in BCM with CONSULT-II, when performing each trouble diagnosis. Refer to  CAN COMMUNICATION INSPECTION USING CONSULT-II (SELF-DIAGNOSIS)  .

  1. Check door switch input signal  .

    Check voltage between combination meter connector and ground.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Door switch circuit is OK.
    2. NG: GO TO  2 .

  2. Check door switch  .
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect door switch and combination meter connector.
    3. Check continuity between door switch connector B17, B23, B20, B32 terminals 1 and combination meter connector M19 terminals 7, 6, 9, 8.

      1. Front door switch driver side 
      2. 1 (W) - 7 (W): Continuity should exist 
      3. Front door switch passenger side 
      4. 1 (P) - 6 (P): Continuity should exist 
      5. Rear door switch LH 
      6. 1 (P) - 9 (P): Continuity should exist 
      7. Rear door switch RH 
      8. 1 (P) - 8 (P): Continuity should exist 
    4. Check continuity between door switch connector B17, B23, B20, B32 terminals 1 and ground.
      1. 1 (W or P) - Ground: Continuity should not exist 

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO  3 .
    2. NG: Repair or replace harness.

  3. Check door switch  .

    Check continuity between each door switch terminal 1 and body ground part of door switch.

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: GO TO  4 .
    2. NG: Replace door switch.

  4. Check combination meter output signal  .
    1. Connect combination meter connector.
    2. Check voltage between combination meter connector M19 terminals 6, 7, 8, 9 and ground.

      1. 6 (P) - Ground: Battery voltage 
      2. 7 (W) - Ground: Battery voltage 
      3. 8 (P) - Ground: Battery voltage 
      4. 9 (P) - Ground: Battery voltage 

    OK or NG 

    1. OK: Check harness connection.
    2. NG: Replace combination meter.
