Door Switch Check

  1. CHECK DOOR SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

    With CONSULT-II

    Check door switches ("DOOR SW-DR" and "DOOR SW-AS") in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT-

    MONITOR ITEM AND CONDITION

    DOOR SW-DR OPEN : ON
    CLOSE : OFF
    DOOR SW-AS OPEN : ON
    CLOSE : OFF

    Without CONSULT-II 

    Check voltage between BCM connector and ground.

    BCM CONNECTORS VOLTAGE

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Door switch is OK.
    2. NG: GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect front door switches and BCM.
    3. Check continuity between front door switch connector B8 (LH) or B108 (RH) terminal 1 and BCM connector M18, M20 terminals 12, 62.
      1. Front door LH 
      2. 1 (GY/R) -62 (GY/R): Continuity should exist. 
      3. Front door RH 
      4. 1 (GY/L) -12 (GY/L): Continuity should exist. 
    4. Check continuity between front door switch connector B8 (LH) or B108 (RH) terminal 1 and ground.
      1. 1 (GY/R or GY/L) -Ground: Continuity should not exist. 
      2. Ground 

      OK or NG

      1. OK: GO TO 3.
      2. NG: Repair or replace harness between BCM and sunroof motor assembly.

  3. CHECK DOOR SWITCH 

    Check continuity between each door switch terminal 1 and body ground part of door switch.

    DOOR SWITCH TERMINALS CONTINUITY

    Terminal Door switch Continuity
    1 Body ground part of door switch Pushed No
    Released Yes

    OK or NG

    1. OK: GO TO 4.
    2. NG: Replace malfunctioning door switch.

  4. CHECK BCM OUTPUT SIGNAL 
    1. Connect BCM connector.
    2. Check voltage between BCM connector M34 terminal 12 (GY/L) (RH), 62 (GY/R) (LH) and ground.
    1. RH 12 (GY/L) - Ground: Battery voltage 
    2. LH 62 (GY/R) - Ground: Battery voltage 

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Check the condition of the harness and the connector.
    2. NG: Replace BCM.
