Odo/Trip Meter and Illumination Control Switch Inspection

  1. CHECK ODO/TRIP METER AND ILLUMINATION CONTROL SWITCH 
    1. Remove combination meter. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF COMBINATION METER ".
    2. Remove meter lid. Refer to "DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY OF COMBINATION METER ".
    3. Check continuity between odo/trip meter and illumination control switch harness connector M303 terminals 3, 4 or 5 and 6.
      CONTINUITY CHECK CHART

      Terminal Condition Continuity
      3 6 Illumination control switch (+) is pushed. Yes
      Illumination control switch (+) is released. No
      4 Illumination control switch (-) is pushed. Yes
      Illumination control switch (-) is released. No
      5 Odo/trip meter switch is pushed. Yes
      Odo/trip meter switch is released. No

    OK or NG

    1. OK: Replace combination meter.
    2. NG: Replace odo/trip meter and illumination control switch.
