Intermittent Simulation
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 Nissan Xterra, 2003 Nissan Sentra, 2003 Nissan Pathfinder, 2003 Nissan Murano, and 2003 Nissan Maxima. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
To reproduce conditions creating an intermittent fault, use following methods:
- Gently vibrate component.
- Heat component.
- Freeze component.
- Wiggle or bend wiring harness.
- Spray component with water.
- Turn on all electrical accessories.
Monitor circuit/component voltage or resistance while simulating intermittent. If engine is running, monitor for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs.) Use test results to identify a faulty component or circuit.
