Removal and Installation: Removal: Preparation

- Release fuel pressure. Refer to "FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE ".
- Drain engine coolant from radiator. Refer to
"CHANGING ENGINE COOLANT
".CAUTION:
- Perform this step when engine is cold.
- Do not spill engine coolant on drive belts.
- Disconnect both battery terminal. Refer to "BATTERY ".
- Remove the following parts:
- Hood assembly; Refer to "HOOD ".
- Tower bar; Refer to "TOWER BAR ".
- Engine cover; refer to "INTAKE MANIFOLD COLLECTOR ".
- Front wiper arm and cowl top cover; Refer to "COWL TOP ".
- Undercover
- Drive belts; refer to "DRIVE BELTS ".
- Front road wheels and tires.
- Remove air cleaner case and air duct. Refer to "AIR CLEANER AND AIR DUCT ".
- Discharge refrigerant from A/C circuit. Refer to "REFRIGERANT LINES ".
- Remove radiator cooling fan assembly, reservoir tank and hoses. Refer to " COOLING FAN " and " RADIATOR " .
