Personal Lamp Control Does Not Operate (Room/Map Lamps Operate)

- CHECK EACH DOOR SWITCH
Select "BCM" on CONSULT-II. With "INT LAMP" data monitor, make sure switches listed in display item list turn ON-OFF linked with switch operation. Refer tLT-131, "SWITCH OPERATION" for switches and their function.
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 2.
- NG: Inspect malfunctioning door switch.
- CHECK PERSONAL LAMP OUTPUT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Confirm lamps on demand switch is in the "DOOR" position.
- Disconnect personal lamp connector.
- Open any door.
- Check voltage between personal lamp harness connector terminal 1 (R/G) and ground.

1 (R/G) - Ground: Battery voltage should exist.
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 3.
- NG: Repair harness or connector.
- CHECK PERSONAL LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT
- Disconnect lamps on demand switch connector.
- Check continuity between lamps on demand switch harness connector M108 terminal 4 (LG) and personal lamp harness connector terminal 2 (LG) (without rear roof console assembly) or terminal 3 (LG) (with rear roof console assembly).Fig 3: Checking Continuity Between Lamps On Demand Switch Harness Connector M108 Terminal 4 & Personal Lamp Harness Connector Terminals 2 Or 3

4 (LG) - 2 (LG) or 3 (LG): Continuity should exist.
OK or NG
- OK: Replace personal lamp.
- NG: Repair harness or connector.
