Vehicle Security System Deactivation
To deactivate the vehicle security system, a door or glass hatch must be unlocked with the key or keyfob. When the key is used to unlock the door, SECU terminal No. 33 receives an "UNLOCK" signal from power window main switch terminal No. 18.
When key cylinder switch is in "UNLOCK" position, the ground is supplied to power window main switch terminal No. 19, from the left front door key cylinder switch terminal No. 1, through front door key cylinder switch terminal No. 2, through body grounds "M77" (located underhood at rear of right front fender) and "M111" (located behind left front kick panel).
When the key is used to open the glass hatch, SECU terminal No. 12 receives a ground signal from terminal No. 3 of the back door key cylinder switch. When the SECU receives either one of these signals or unlock signal from keyfob, the vehicle security system is deactivated.
