Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 seconds before starting any work on vehicle.

NOTE: For diagnosis and testing on vehicles with Lexus Link System that requires ignition switch to be in ON position with air bag sensor assembly disconnected, disconnect Mayday ECU and back up battery. See LINK SYSTEM .
