Present Fault Messages: Notes

Fault messages are retrieved using CONSULT tester. See RETRIEVING CODES under DIAGNOSTICS. Repair procedures must be followed one step at a time, pausing between each step to check for fault message. If no fault message is displayed, repair is complete and no further testing is required. After repair is completed, air bag system memory must be cleared. See CLEARING CODES under DIAGNOSTICS. Procedure must be followed exactly to avoid misdiagnosis and unnecessary replacement of properly functioning components.
