Section 292 (Front Suspension): Description

All models use a MacPherson strut-type front suspension system. See Fig 1. Strut assembly consists of a shock absorber and coil spring. Upper end of strut is bolted to body of vehicle.

Lower end of strut is bolted to steering knuckle. Steering knuckle is attached to transverse link by a ball joint. Transverse links are attached to suspension member by pivot bolts and compression rod clamp. Stabilizer bar is attached to shock absorber.
