Compression Rod: Removal

Remove tire. Remove engine undercover. Remove front cross bar from vehicle (Coupe only).

CAUTION: Temporarily tighten mounting nut to prevent damage to threads and to prevent ball joint remover from coming off.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage ball joint boot.

Remove cotter pin of compression rod ball joint, and loosen nut. Use a ball joint remover to remove compression rod from steering knuckle. Remove compression rod from vehicle.
