Diagnostic Procedure

- CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION LINE
Perform the self-diagnosis. Is a malfunction in the CAN communication indicated in the results.
Yes or No
- Yes: Check CAN communication line. Refer to DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE .
- No: GO TO 2.
- CHECK DTC WITH ECM
With CONSULT-II
- Turn ignition switch "ON". (Do not start engine.)
- Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode for "ENGINE" with CONSULT-II. Refer to CONSULT-II FUNCTION in ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM - TITAN article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
With GST
Follow the procedure "With CONSULT-II".
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 3.
- NG: Check the DTC detected item. Refer to SELF-DIAG RESULTS MODE in ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM - TITAN article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
- If CAN communication line is detected, go to DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE .
- CHECK DTC WITH TCM
With CONSULT-II
- Turn ignition switch "ON". (Do not start engine.)
- Select "ECU INPUT SIGNALS" in "DATA MONITOR" mode for "A/T" with CONSULT-II.
- Depress accelerator pedal and read out the value of "ACCLE POS" and "THROTTLE POSI". Check engine speed changes according to throttle position.
- Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode for "ENGINE" with CONSULT-II. Refer to SELF-DIAG RESULTS MODE in ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM - TITAN article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
With GST
Follow the procedure "With CONSULT-II".
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 4.
- NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.
- CHECK DTC
Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure.
- Refer to DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE .
OK or NG
- OK: INSPECTION END
- NG: Replace the transmission assembly. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - TITAN article.
