CONSULT-II Setting Procedure

CAUTION: If CONSULT-II is used with no connection of CONSULT-II CONVERTER, malfunctions might be detected in self-diagnosis depending on control unit which carry out CAN communication.
  1. Turn ignition switch "OFF".
  2. Connect CONSULT-II and CONSULT-II CONVERTER to data link connector, which is located in instrument lower panel on driver side.

  3. Turn ignition switch "ON". (Do not start engine.)
  4. Touch "START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)".

  5. Touch "A/T".

    If "A/T" is not indicated, go to CONSULT-II DATA LINK CONNECTOR (PLC) CIRCUIT in GENERAL INFORMATION - TITAN article in GENERAL INFORMATION. .

  6. Touch "DTC WORK SUPPORT".

  7. Touch select item menu.

  8. Touch "START".

  9. Perform driving test according to "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" in appropriate TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR DTC".

    • When testing conditions are satisfied, CONSULT-II screen changes from "OUT OF CONDITION" to TESTING".

  10. Stop vehicle. If "NG" appears on the screen, malfunction may exist. Go to "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE".
  11. Perform test drive to check gear shift feeling in accordance with instructions displayed.
  12. Touch "YES" or "NO".
  13. CONSULT-II procedure is ended.

If "NG" appears on the screen, a malfunction may exist. Go to "DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE".
