Intermittent Codes Using Consult Tester

  1. Turn ignition off. Connect CONSULT tester using CONSULT CONVERTER to Data Link Connector (DLC), located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure . Turn ignition on. Touch START (NISSAN BASED VHCL) on CONSULT tester. Touch AIRBAG. Touch SELF-DIAG (PAST). If diagnostic codes are displayed, go to step  3 . If no diagnostic codes are displayed, go to next step.
  2. Touch BACK. Touch TROUBLE DIAG RECORD. Diagnostic code previously erased will be displayed. Go to next step.
  3. Touch PRINT. Compare codes to fault messages. See INTERMITTENT FAULT MESSAGES  . Touch BACK until SELECT SYSTEM appears. Turn ignition off. Turn off CONSULT tester. Disconnect CONSULT tester and CONSULT CONVERTER from DLC. Disconnect both battery cables. After repair is complete, perform final check. Go to FINAL CHECK  .
