Deployment Tool Check

NOTE: Battery voltage must be 9.6 volts or higher when testing deployment tool.
  1. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Remove battery from vehicle and place on dry wood blocks 16 feet (4.9 m) from vehicle. Connect Red deployment clip to positive battery terminal and Black deployment clip to negative battery terminal.
  2. Light on right side of deployment tool (deployment tool power) should glow Green and light on left side (air bag connector voltage) should not glow. If right light glows Red, reverse polarity of battery connections. If right light does not glow, use another battery.
  3. Turn deployment switch to ON position. Light on left side of deployment tool (air bag connector voltage) should glow Green. If light does not glow Green, replace deployment tool.
