Lighting Switch Input Signal Inspection

Check Lighting Switch Input Signal
With CONSULT-II

Check Lighting switch (HD/LMP 1ST SW) in DATA MONITOR mode.
1. When lighting switch is 1ST or 2ND: HD/LMP 1ST SW ON
2. When lighting switch is OFF: HD/LMP 1ST SW OFF
Without CONSULT-II

Check lighting switch in switch monitor mode, refer to ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS .

OK or NG
1. OK: Lighting switch is OK.
2. NG: Go to 2.
Check Tail Lamp Relay Control Signal
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM connector.
3. Check voltage between BCM harness connector M4 terminal 3 (R/L) and ground.

  1. When lighting switch is 1ST or 2ND: Approx. 12V
  2. When lighting switch is OFF: Approx. 0V
OK or NG
1. OK: Inspection end.
2. NG: Check harness for open or short between BCM and tail lamp relay.
