Inspection Procedure

HINT:

If there is not the LEXUS hand-held tester, begin with STEP 2.

Perform active test.
PREPARATION:

Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3.

CHECK:
1. Enter ACTIVE TEST function of the LEXUS hand-held tester.
2. Check that light turns ON or OFF as the LEXUS hand-held tester directs.
  HINT:
  
  All lights flash except the shift indicator.
1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptom table (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
2. NG : Go to next step.
Check circuit plate (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
1. NG : Replace circuit plate.
2. OK : Check and replace combination meter (See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE ).
