Low-Fuel Warning Lamp
Depending on vehicle position or driving circumstance, the fuel in the tank flows and the warning lamp ON timing may change.
- CONNECTOR INSPECTION
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Check meter, fuel level sensor unit and terminals (meter-side, unit-side, harness-side) for looseness or damaged terminals.
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 2.
- NG: Repair terminal or connector
- CONTINUITY INSPECTION BETWEEN COMBINATION METER AND FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT
- Disconnect combination meter connector and fuel level sensor unit connector.
- Check continuity between combination meter harness connector M24 terminal 35 (G/B) and fuel level sensor unit harness connector B16 terminal 2 (G/B).
- Check continuity between combination meter harness connector M24 terminal 35 (G/B) and ground.
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 3.
- NG: Repair harness or connector.
- GROUND CIRCUIT INSPECTION OF FUEL LEVEL SENSOR
Check continuity between fuel level sensor unit harness connector B16 terminal 5 (B) and ground.

OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 4.
- NG: Repair harness or connector.
- FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INSPECTION
Check components. Refer to "FUEL LEVEL SENSOR UNIT CHECK ".
OK or NG
- OK: GO TO 5.
- NG: Replace fuel level sensor unit. Refer to "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION FOR ALL MODELS EXCEPT PZEV " or "REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION FOR PZEV MODELS ONLY ".
- CHECK INSTALLATION CONDITION
Check fuel level sensor unit installation, and check whether the float arm interferes or binds with any of the internal components in the fuel tank.
OK or NG
- OK: Replace the combination meter. Refer to "COMBINATION METER ".
- NG: Install the fuel level sensor unit properly.
