NOTE:
This bulletin has been amended. The specifications for rear alignment have been corrected. Please discard earlier versions of this bulletin.
SERVICE INFORMATION
Before performing an alignment on a GT-R:
- Review the Performance Optimization Service (POS) information in this bulletin.
- Review and understand the alignment specifications in this bulletin.NOTE:
- The GT-R requires 1,000 miles for suspension settling and break-in.
- Nissan recommends that alignment adjustments not be performed before vehicle delivery and/or before vehicle has been driven 1,000 miles.
Performance Optimization Service (POS) Information
In addition to the regular maintenance recommended by Nissan, the GT-R requires the following special inspections at 1,000 miles, 12 months, 24 months, and 36 months:
- Wheel alignment inspection and adjustment (including tire pressure adjustment)
- Engine settings (balancing right and left air flow)
- Transmission settingsNOTE:
- The inspections listed above will be performed free of charge for labor at a GT-R certified Nissan dealer only.
- When submitting a POS claim, use only the Claims Coding in this bulletin.
- Inspection of these areas thereafter are recommended every 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) at the customer's expense.
