WHITE-6 Horn high Horn high operate for warning vehicle surroundings when VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM operates.
WHITE-7 Hood switch Refer to HOOD SWITCH .
WHITE-8 ECM ECM controls the engine.
When ignition switch is turned ON, BCM starts communication with ECM and performs the ID verification between BCM and ECM.
If the verification result is OK, the engine can start. If the verification result is NG, the engine cannot start.
Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION for detailed installation location.
WHITE-9 Horn low Horn low operate for warning vehicle surroundings when VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM operates.
WHITE-10 IPDM E/R
  • Starter relay are integrated in IPDM E/R, and used for the engine starting function.
  • Starter control relay is controlled by BCM, and starter relay is controlled by IPDM E/R while communicating with BCM.
  • IPDM E/R sends the starter control relay/starter relay status signal to BCM.
Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION for detailed installation location.
WHITE-11 Clutch interlock switch
(M/T models)
Clutch interlock switch detects that clutch pedal is depressed, and transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
WHITE-12 Clutch pedal position switch
(M/T models)
Clutch pedal position switch detects that clutch pedal is depressed, and then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
WHITE-13 BCM BCM controls INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM (ENGINE START FUNCTION), NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SISTEM (NATS) and VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM.
BCM performs the ID verification between BCM and Intelligent Key when the Intelligent Key is carried into the detection area of inside key antenna, and push-button ignition switch is pressed. If the ID verification result is OK, ignition switch operation is available.
Then, when the ignition switch is turned ON, BCM performs ID verification between BCM and ECM. If the ID verification result is OK, ECM can start engine.
Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION for detailed installation location.
WHITE-14 Combination meter Combination meter transmits the vehicle speed signal to BCM via CAN communication.
BCM also receives the vehicle speed signal from ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) via CAN communication. BCM compares both signals to detect the vehicle speed.
Security indicator lamp is located on combination meter.
Security indicator lamp blinks when ignition switch is in any position other than ON to warn that NISSAN VEHICLE IMMOBILIZER SISTEM (NATS) is on board.
WHITE-15 CVT shift selector (detention switch)
(CVT models)
Detention switch is integrated into CVT shift sector, and detects that selector lever is locked in the P position, then transmits ON/OFF signal to BCM.
WHITE-16 Power window main switch (door lock and unlock switch) Door lock and unlock switch transmits door lock/unlock signal operation to BCM.
WHITE-17 Outside key antenna (driver side) Outside key antenna and door request switch are integrated into outside door handle.
