Removal and Installation
CAUTION:
- Before replacing the BCM, perform "Before Replace ECU" of "Read/Write Configuration" to save or print current vehicle specification. Refer to Description .
- When replacing the BCM, a new BCM must be used. The functions controlled by the BCM do not operate properly if a BCM from another vehicle is used.
REMOVAL
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
- Remove the left knee air bag module. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove the screw (A) then pull the BCM (1) outward.
- Disconnect the harness connectors (A) from the BCM (1) and remove BCM.
INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION:
- When replacing the BCM, perform "After Replace ECU" of "Read/Write Configuration" or "Manual Configuration" to write vehicle specification. Refer to Description .
- When replacing the BCM, perform the system initialization (NATS). Refer to Description .
- When replacing the BCM, if a new BCM does not come with Intelligent Keys attached, all existing Intelligent Keys must be re-registered.
