Component Function
BCM BCM transmits sleep wake up signal to each unit when condition is established, and then goes into each mode.
Combination meter
  • Transmits the sleep-ready signal and wake up signal to BCM via CAN communication.
  • Receives the sleep wake up signal from BCM via CAN communication.
IPDM E/R
TCU
Electric shift control module
  • Transmits the sleep-ready signal to BCM via CAN communication.
  • Receives the sleep wake up signal from BCM via CAN communication.
TCM (transmission control module)
AV control unit Receives the sleep wake up signal from BCM via CAN communication.
Each switch Each switch transmits the vehicle status to BCM.

LOW POWER CONSUMPTION CONTROL WITH BCM 

BCM reduces the power consumption with the following operation in the low power consumption mode.

Sleep mode activation 

Sleep condition

  • CONSULT communication status: Not communication
  • Meter display signal: Non-transmission

  • Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System (NVIS): Not operation
  • Remote keyless entry receiver communication status: No communication
  • Retained power function: OFF

Wake-up operation

  • Door key cylinder switch: NEUTRAL → LOCK, NEUTRAL → UNLOCK
  • Door lock and unlock switch: NEUTRAL → LOCK, NEUTRAL → UNLOCK
  • Extended storage fuse switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • Door lock assembly (driver side) (unlock sensor): OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • Receiving the sleep-ready signal (Not-ready) from any units
  • Push-button ignition switch (push switch): OFF→ ON
  • Hazard switch: OFF → ON
  • HI BEAM switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • PASSING switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • HEADLAMP 1 switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • HEADLAMP 2 switch: OFF → ON, ON → OFF
  • TAIL LAMP switch: OFF → ON
