Major signal transmission between each unit via communication lines is shown in the following table:

Component parts Signal description
BCM
  • BCM transmits the sleep wake up signal (sleep) to each unit according to the vehicle status.
  • BCM transmits the sleep wake up signal (wake up) to each unit according to the vehicle status.
  • BCM receives the sleep-ready signal (ready) from each unit via CAN communication.
  • BCM receives the wake up signal from each unit via CAN communication.
IPDM E/R
  • Transmits the sleep-ready signal (ready) to the BCM according to the unit status.
  • Transmits the wake up signal to the BCM according to the unit status.
  • Receives the sleep wake up signal (sleep) from the BCM via CAN communication.
  • Receives the sleep wake up signal (wake up) from the BCM via CAN communication.

LOW POWER CONSUMPTION CONTROL WITH BCM 

BCM reduces the power consumption with the following operation in the low power consumption mode:

  • Push-button ignition switch illumination: OFF
  • NATS: No operation
  • Remote keyless entry receiver communication status: No communication
  • Tire pressure monitoring system: Stop

Wake-up operation
