Components Function
ECO mode switch Refer to Component Description .
e-Pedal switch e-Pedal switch transmits the e-Pedal switch signal to VCM.
Shift selector Shift selector transmits the shift position signal to VCM.
VCM Refer to Component Description .
Combination meter Combination meter transmits the following signals to VCM.
  • e-Pedal indicator request signal
  • ECO mode indicator request signal
  • Shift position signal
Chassis control module The VCM and the chassis control module are transmitting and receiving the e-pedal control signal.
Traction motor inverter VCM transmits the target motor torque signal to Traction motor inverter.

DESCRIPTION

The driver can select Drive mode i.e. Normal mode or ECO mode or e-Pedal and Shift range i.e. D range or B range.

NOTE: SYMBOL When the reverse range is selected during e-Pedal switch OFF position, the control performs normal characteristics.

ECO MODE

When the driver selects ECO mode by operating the ECO mode switch, VCM controls to a gentle acceleration (compared to normal mode) and reduces electricity consumption by reducing waste in acceleration and deceleration. VCM transmits the ECO mode indicator request signal to the combination meter via CAN communication to turn ON the ECO mode indicator.

B RANGE (REGENERATIVE BRAKE MODE)

When the driver selects B mode by operating the shift lever, VCM controls to a strong regeneration (compared to normal mode) and collects more energy.

e-Pedal

For details of e-Pedal. Refer to System Description .
