WASTEGATE Solenoid
Disconnect wastegate solenoid connector and vacuum hose. Apply 12-volt power source to solenoid. Using a hand-held vacuum pump, apply vacuum to solenoid. A clicking noise should be heard from wastegate solenoid and vacuum should flow through valve. If these conditions are not met, solenoid is defective.
