Test Conditions

- Codes E13, E14, E15, E21, E22, E31, E32, E34, E44 and E45 are clear.
- Coolant temperature 185°-230°F (85°-110°C).
- TPS between 7-14 degrees.
- RPM 1450-1650.
- Steady throttle.
- MPH greater than 35.
- Oxygen sensor output switching (closed loop operation).
- Integrator less than 144 counts.
- Operating in closed loop for 10 minutes.
NOTE:
In test conditions, the ECM turns off EGR and looks for a leaner mixture signal from oxygen sensor. The ECM performs this test up to 6 times in a given key cycle.
