Fuel Pump Output Check: Notes

NOTE:
The fuel pump can be manually energized by providing battery power to the Fuel Pump Test Terminal. See Figure for location.
The fuel pump pressure check is listed first, followed by the fuel pump volume check. Fuel pump output specifications are found below, after the procedures.
This information supplements the A-7 flow chart, which exists to verify and/or diagnose fuel pressure faults. (The A-charts are not contained in this article. They can be found in the appropriate article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.)
WARNING:
A small amount fuel may be released after the fuel line is disconnected. In order to reduce the chance of personal injury, cover the fitting to be disconnected with a shop cloth. Place the cloth in an approved container, when disconnect is completed.
