ECM Charging System Trouble Code Identification

The following ECM charging system trouble code may be set in response to charging system malfunction:

Code E016: Battery voltage out of range. This code may set after charging battery with battery charger and starting engine.

NOTE: After system completes trouble code display cycle, system can be directed to test charging system components and/or circuitry indicated by trouble codes. Refer to MANUAL OPERATION OF SELF-DIAGNOSTICS in this article.
