Preliminary Check

Check for Power Train Control Module/Body Control Module (PCM/BCM) codes. See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If more than one indicator or gauge is inoperative, check instrument cluster power and ground circuits, printed circuit (for cracks) and wiring harness connections on back of instrument cluster.
