System Tests: Notes

Diagnosis assumes basic Automatic Door Lock System is OK. Continue with diagnosis only if:

• Both door lock switches control door locks.
• At least right front, and both rear door lock motors work.

If automatic door lock system is not OK, repair before proceeding. See POWER DOOR LOCKS -- ACHIEVA article.

Illuminated Entry Lights Do Not Operate Properly	8
Luggage Compartment Lid Release Does Not Operate Properly From Transmitters	2, 4 & 9
Both Transmitters Do Not Operate	All
Both Transmitters Operate Some But Not All Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Features	All
Both Transmitters Operate System At Close Range Only	(2)
One Transmitter Does Not Work Properly, Other Is OK	(2)
Driver's Door Cannot Be Locked From Door Lock Switch	5 & 10
(1) See TEST A: REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY PIN-OUT CHECK  . (2) Check transmitter batteries and battery terminals. Replace Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See KEYLESS ENTRY MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
