ECM Data Line
- If all components cannot be accessed with a scan tool, check the Orange 461 circuit wire for an open between the ALDL connector terminal "M" and S144. See Fig 1 . See WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- If a single component cannot be accessed with a scan tool, check the Orange 461 circuit wire for an open between the component and S144. If wire is okay, perform one of the following that is related to component that cannot be accessed:
- Perform ECM REPLACEMENT CHECK under PRELIMINARY INSPECTION & ADJUSTMENTS in BASIC TESTING article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE,
- Perform CODE 09, SERIAL DATA LINE TEST under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS in AUTOMATIC A/C-HEATER SYSTEMS article in AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING
- Perform DIAGNOSTIC CIRCUIT CHECK under DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS in ABS-VI ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM article in BRAKES.
