Instrument Cluster Connector Pin Test
- Remove instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Place ignition switch in RUN position (except when measuring resistance). Make all resistance measurements to ground, with negative battery cable disconnected.
- Make all measurements to ground unless a specific terminal is given. See appropriate test under TESTING. If voltage or resistance readings at terminals being tested are correct, and the particular component using those terminals does not operate, check wires, bulbs and printed circuit. See Fig 1 -14. If wires bulbs and printed circuit are okay, replace instrument cluster. If correct voltage or resistance is NOT found at a terminal, perform appropriate test under TESTING.
