Bleeding Brake System: Notes
NOTE:
Use only DOT 3 brake fluid from a sealed container. DO NOT use DOT 5 silicone brake fluid.
Before servicing system, place front and rear displacement cylinder pistons in upper position. To position pistons, connect Tech 1 Scan Tester (94-00101-A), and enter test mode F5 (Motor Rehome). Pistons should return to upper position. If any ABS codes are present, pistons may not return.
If Tech 1 scan tester is not available, turn ignition on and ensure no ABS codes are present. Turn ignition off and repeat check for ABS codes. The brake system is now ready for service.
WARNING:
DO NOT tap into vehicle's brake system to operate trailer brake system.
