Code 58, Pass-Key Fuel Enable: Notes

Code will set if Pass-Key fuel enable input is not correct but has been correct within this engine run cycle, engine run indicator is asserted and Pass-Key engine start timer has expired.

1. If engine will crank, part of Pass-Key system is functioning correctly.
2. Checking PCM output, there will be 2-3 volts present on Pass-Key fuel enable input circuit if it is not open or shorted to ground.
3. Checks if PCM is recognizing cranking fuel enable signal from Pass-Key decoder module.
4. Checks Pass-Key fuel enable input circuit for short to voltage or open. If circuit is okay, Pass-Key decoder module is not able to produce a cranking fuel enable signal.
