Remote Function Actuator (RFA) System Inoperative

  1. Check instrument panel fuse block CHIME fuse and rear fuse block I/P fuse and replace as necessary. If fuses are okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect RFA module connector. Connect self-powered test light between RFA harness connector terminal E16 (Orange wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Orange wire.
  3. Turn ignition on. Connect test light between RFA module connector terminal E15 (Pink wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Pink wire.
  4. Connect test light between RFA module connector terminal F16 (Black wire) and voltage. If test light does not come on, repair open circuit in Black wire. If test light comes on, check RFA module connector terminals. If terminals are okay, replace RFA module.
