Locks Do Not Operate From Either Switch
- Backprobe door relay connector C1 with a test light between terminal "H" (Orange wire) and ground. If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, check for an open circuit in Orange wire between relay connector terminal "H" and instrument panel fuse block. Also check CTSY LP power mirror fuse. Replace as necessary.
- Backprobe door lock relay connector C1 with a test light between terminals "H" (Orange wire) and "D" (Black wire). If test light comes on, go to next step. If test light does not come on, check for poor connection at door lock relay. If connection is okay, repair open circuit in Black wire between relay connector terminal "D" and ground.
- Using ohmmeter, backprobe left or right front door lock switch connector between terminal "D" (Black wire) and ground. If less than 5 ohms are present, go to next step. If 5 ohms or more are present, check for open circuit in Black wire between door lock relay connector terminal "D" and ground.
- Backprobe door lock relay connector C1 with test light between terminals "A" (Tan wire) and "C" (Gray wire). Observe test light and move door lock switch to lock and unlock positions. If test light comes on in both cases, go to next step. If test light does not come on, check for poor connection at door lock relay. If connection is okay, replace Multi-Function Alarm, Light and Locking (MALL) module on left side of instrument panel.
- Backprobe any door lock motor connector with a test light between terminal "A" (Tan wire) and ground. Observe test light and move door lock switch to lock. If test light comes on, check switch and appropriate wiring. If test light does not come on, check for poor connection at door lock relay or open circuit in Gray wire.
NOTE:
Additional testing is not available from manufacturer.
