(Engine Fuel And Emissions)

Some new terminology has been introduced to today's ever-expanding automotive technical vocabulary. The "Fluid Induction System" is the group of automotive components that includes all components involved with the induction of air and fuel for engine combustion.

As the above illustration shows, the Aurora V8 "Fluid Induction System" is a combination of a fuel rail assembly with injectors, an intake manifold, and throttle body. Components not shown may include the fuel pressure regulator, pressure relief valve, EGR components or any other part involved in fuel or air induction.

If you notice the use of "Fluid Induction System" in a bulletin or in any other technical publication, do not confuse this terminology with individual component function. The term "Fluid Induction System" is only used to describe a group of components in a text that may be easier to explain rather than describing each component's function.
