Asleep & Awake Functions
Wake up signals turn BCM on to begin controlling and/or monitoring of certain functions. BCM wake-up inputs are as follows:
- Door ajar switches.
- Dome light.
- Parking lights.
- Power door lock switches.
- Interior light request active.
- Ignition key put into ignition lock cylinder.
- Ignition key is removed from ignition lock cylinder.
- Ignition switch in ON position.
- Remote control request to BCM from Remote Function Actuator (RFA).
- Any class 2 communication requiring BCM interaction.
The BCM will fall asleep when controlling of functions and class 2 communication has stopped. After ignition switch is turned to LOCK position and 20 minutes has elapsed without any wake-up signals, the BCM goes into low-power sleep mode. When wake-up inputs are detected, BCM will enter high-power awake mode.
