Description & Operation

A 6-way power seat is used on driver's seat and passenger seat (some models). System consists of 3 reversible motors attached to a seat drive rail. Some systems use a 4th motor for seatback recline. Each motor contains a self-resetting circuit breaker. Power seat switch is located on left side of driver's seat, or on right side of passenger's seat. Drive cables connect motor to gearnuts, which turn jack screws and adjusters at each side of seat.

An 8-way power seat operates as the 6-way power seat and also incorporates a power seat recline feature. Power lumbar support is also an option, allowing power in and out operation of lumbar support.

Memory seats are available as an option on driver's seat. Seat memory module tracks seat location through position sensors (transducers) on seat adjusting motors. When SET button is pressed for memory 1 or memory 2 position, the seat memory module records that seat position. Pressing memory button will then return seat to that position. Two seat positions can be programmed into seat memory module. Transmission must be in Park for seat memory module to operate seat.
