Circuit Description
Seat memory module calibrations are stored in Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM). When ignition switch is first turned to ON position, seat memory module performs internal tests on EEPROM and determines integrity of non-volatile memory. Then seat memory module compares previously stored checksum with checksum calculated when ignition switch is first turned to ON position. If 2 checksums do not match, seat memory module indicates a calibration malfunction (checksum error) is current. DTC sets when stored checksum does not match calculated checksum. Condition must occur when ignition switch is first turned to ON position.
