DTC B1422: BCM Power Malfunction: Description
BCM receives voltage inputs from 3 ignition signals. BCM receives voltage from IGN 0, CLUSTER, PCM-BCM fuse (wake-up signal) when ignition switch is in ACC, RUN or START position. BCM receives voltage from PCM, BCM, U/H RELAY fuse (10-amp) when ignition switch is in RUN and START position. BCM receives voltage from CRANK SIGNAL, BCM, CLUSTER fuse (10-amp) when ignition switch is in START position.
DTC B1422 will set when BCM detects Ignition 1 is active with Ignition 0 inactive, CRANK is active with Ignition 0 inactive, or CRANK is active with Ignition 1 inactive. Any combination must occur for longer than 0.3 second. Driver warning message will be displayed.
If conditions for malfunction no longer exist, history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles. DTC B1422 will also clear when conditions no longer exist or when scan tool is used to clear codes.
