Security Indicator Inoperative

  1. If theft deterrent system diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If theft deterrent system diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. While observing instrument cluster, turn ignition switch to ON position. If SECURITY indicator illuminates during bulb check, system is okay. If SECURITY indicator does not illuminate during bulb check, go to next step.
  3. Replace Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS - INTRIGUE article. After repairs, go to next step.
  4. Retest system. If problem has been repaired, system is okay. If problem has not been repaired, go to step  2 .
