Steering Column Park Lock Solenoid: Installation
- Install the electric park lock (2) into the electronic lock module assembly (1). See Fig 6
.
- Screw the Torx(R) head screw into the electric park lock. Tighten the Torx(R) head screw to 13 INCH lbs. (1.5 N.m).
- Install the black connector (2) into the electric park lock (3). See Fig 6
.
- Install the upper trim cover (2) onto the steering column. See Fig 5
.
- Screw the 2 Torx(R) head screws into the upper trim cover. Tighten the 2 Torx(R) head screws to 13 INCH lbs. (1.5 N.m).
- Install the lower trim cover (2) onto the upper trim cover. See Fig 4
.
- Match the tab slots on the lower trim cover with the locking tabs on the upper trim cover.
- Tilt the lower trim cover up.
- Slide the lower trim cover forward until the locking tabs snap into the tab slots. See Fig 4
.
- Screw the 2 pan head tapping screws (1) into the lower trim cover (2). Tighten the 2 pan head tapping screws to 31 INCH lbs. (3.5 N.m). See Fig 3
.
- Install the tilt knob into the lower trim cover.
