Steering Column Park Lock Solenoid: Installation

1. Install the electric park lock (2) into the electronic lock module assembly (1). See Fig 6 .
2. Screw the Torx(R) head screw into the electric park lock. Tighten the Torx(R) head screw to 13 INCH lbs. (1.5 N.m).
3. Install the black connector (2) into the electric park lock (3). See Fig 6 .
4. Install the upper trim cover (2) onto the steering column. See Fig 5 .
5. Screw the 2 Torx(R) head screws into the upper trim cover. Tighten the 2 Torx(R) head screws to 13 INCH lbs. (1.5 N.m).
6. Install the lower trim cover (2) onto the upper trim cover. See Fig 4 .
7. Match the tab slots on the lower trim cover with the locking tabs on the upper trim cover.
8. Tilt the lower trim cover up.
9. Slide the lower trim cover forward until the locking tabs snap into the tab slots. See Fig 4 .
10. Screw the 2 pan head tapping screws (1) into the lower trim cover (2). Tighten the 2 pan head tapping screws to 31 INCH lbs. (3.5 N.m). See Fig 3 .
11. Install the tilt knob into the lower trim cover.
