Installation Procedure

  1. Install the engine oil level sensor.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the engine oil level sensor mounting bolt.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine oil level sensor mounting bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil level sensor.

  4. Install the engine protection shield.
  5. Install the engine protection shield mounting bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine protection shield mounting bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  6. Install the engine oil drain plug.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the engine oil drain plug bolt to 26 N.m (19 lb ft).

  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Fill the crankcase with the proper quantity of engine oil.
