No Load Pressure Test
- Warm engine to normal operating temperature. Disconnect the air hose leading to the pumps Load Detector (LDA). Connect Test Gauge (8. 1503) to the LDA fitting.
- Start engine and let idle. Allow oil to build to normal operating pressure. Raise engine speed to 4800 RPM. The boost pressure must be 6.2 psi (.44 kg/cm2 ) minimum.
- If boost pressure is not at minimum pressure, check air intake circuit, valve clearance and no-load maximum RPM.
