Tune-Up Notes Changes, Cautions, Corrections: Notes
- 1967 THROTTLE CABLE SNAPPING NOISE CORRECTION:
On cars with cable throttle, the cable ball end may ride on the edge of the socket in the lever on the firewall. When the throttle is moved, the cable ball end drops into the socket with a snapping noise. Correct by using a 1/4" ball rotary file to remove the edge on the top side of the socket so that the cable ball end will slide into the socket instead of snapping over the edge.
- 1965-67 383" & 440" ENGINES WITH AIR CONDITIONING FAN BELT SLIPPAGE & ROLL-OFF CORRECTION
: To correct engine overheating caused by fan belt slippage or roil-off, install a dacron cord belt, Part Number 2658793.
- 1967 PLYMOUTH FURY & V.I.P. INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHT CORRECTION:
Inoperative lights may be caused by poor ground. Test by connecting ground wire from light panel under brow of instrument panel trim pad to a good instrument panel ground. If lights operate, install a permanent ground by drilling a small hole through the lamp housing into the instrument panel and installing a 3/8" long sheet metal screw.
NOTE:
