Cruise Control Cable
- Ensure accelerator cable is properly adjusted. To adjust, run engine until it reaches idle RPM. Measure free play of pedal. Accelerator cable free play should be 0-.04" (0-1 mm).
- If measured free play is not correct, loosen adjusting nut so throttle lever is free. Turn adjusting nut to set pedal free play.
- Slide cruise control cable up to point just before accelerator pedal begins to move. See Fig 1 . Secure cruise control cable by inserting clip. Cruise control cable free play should be 0-.1" (0-3 mm).
